Clover Quilt / Gathering as Becoming

Cotton Muslin, Reused Dropcloths with silkscreen marks, Cyanotype, secondhand linen and cotton fabric, Old pair of Denim Jeans, Cutch, Logwood, Black Bean, and pomegranate dyed fabric, cotton batting, polyester and cotton thread.
(sewn in collaboration with my sewing machine Blueberry)

Thinking about the idea or action of gathering as becoming.
and Vice versa, Becoming as Gathering.
I’ve gathered and created this collection of objects and beings as a way of trying to hold onto memories of places and times in space. From that a quilt responding to those beings. From that, cyanotyped photos of the process which were then embedded in the backing of the quilt.
